The title of this blog comes from song lyrics that I heard many years ago by Switchfoot. And ever since the first time I heard it, these words have never left me. It makes so much sense. Although you might be standing in a shadow, that is direct evidence that the sun is still shining. I think that this is a great metaphor for my life right now. I am walking through some dark times. But I want these times to be evidence of the sun, and the bright glory of the Lord. And so while this blog will be chronicling some sad times in my life, I pray that it is also a testament to God, and a reminder of the good times in the midst of the shadows.

    Perrin~ I'm reading a Max Lucado book now titled FEARLESS. Based on what would we do if we didn't have fear?
    I like T. Swift, too!
    But, this got me to thinking, as did your post. What could we do since we do have fear? But (I like the word, but) we ALSO have faith. What CAN we do with our faith?
    Who can we be b/c of our faith? Who can we love b/c of our faith? Who can we trust b/c of our faith?
    You get the picture.

    P.S.
    Iam adding a post note here to help clarify my thoughts a bit. It's because of our faith that we are able to overcome and be what fear doesn't want us to be. Fear hinders us and keeps us from being and doing what God would want, which is what is best for us. When we focus on faith it will overshadow the fear. It is so much greater than fear.
